Ubuntu is too easy

It is funny in a way, before using Ubuntu I believed that Linux based operating systems would be very hard to maintain and only for extreme computer geeks. However since becoming quite comfortable with Ubuntu I have realised that I barely ever need to fix anything. In fact I am starting to get worried that I will forget useful commands or processes.

From time to time I will install software that requires compiling, but even that process requires only three commands usually and no more.

Occasionally Azureus will not load properly but this only happens when I shutdown the computer without allowing Azureus to exit gracefully first, again three commands in the terminal is all it takes to get Azureus up and running again.

That’s pretty much it at the moment as far as my having to ‘configure’ or ‘maintain’ my laptop. Ubuntu really ‘just works’.

Update

Many other Ubuntu users seem to be suffering from the same symptoms of having a stable operating system :)
