Livestation 3.0 Out
Livestation 3.0 is out, find out why it's coolLivestation is a great app that allows you to watch television through the internet.
Livestation is what televesion should have been long ago. We have the necessary broadband, and millions of Tv viewers have computers and internet access.
The only thing still stopping people from being able to enjoy TV on the internet are the usual obstacles to innovation; outdated views on intelectual property and the connected legal hurdles.
Now with that rant aside, here are the newest changes to Livestation:
Multiview = watch more than one channel at onceTwitter = follow and tweet but more importantly, screen grab what you are watching and attach to your tweet in one clickBetter chat (more features)Better support for cross platformBreaking news alerts powered by Twitter updates from our partner channelsSupport for premium channelsPro version: no ads, unlimited multiview, more chat features, partner channels delivered over premium network for best performanceBillions of changes under the bonnet (more protocols, more stability, etc)Multiview = watch more than one channel at once

Better chat (more features)

Breaking news alerts powered by Twitter updates from our partner channels
Support for premium channels
Pro version: no ads, unlimited multiview, more chat features, partner channels delivered over premium network for best performance
Billions of changes under the bonnet (more protocols, more stability, etc)
Overall Livestation has also experienced a revamp of the user interface, it's a little cleaner and smoother now.
There is also a premium version of Livestation now, with better video quality, and also premium channels.
Personally I hope Livestation will eventually offer a flat-rate so that I can view my favorite channels without having to purchase each channel on its own. Come on Livestation team, it's 2009
I have always been a fan of this application, I also volunteered as a tester for the Livestation iPhone app before it was released on the App Store.
Here is an obligatory screenie:
