CognitiveCombine Theme Update
The theme update that you may have noticed is not quite finished. In fact the design still has some layout issues, such as the sidebar jumping below the main entry, when you view a single blog post.
In the coming days I will clean up the code and fix errors.
I would however be interested in what others think of the layout changes. So here is a poll.

Coming Up Soon: Complete Redesign
It has been a while since I posted. The holiday season is over, and it's back to work now. In the same spirit, I am working on a complete redesign of the site.
The current design is not user friendly in my opinion. Neither is it easy to navigate older posts.
I am working on rectifying these points. The new design of CognitiveCombine.com will hopefully give the reader a broader overview of more content.
I do not have a target date, I am working on the new design in my free time when my work, freelance work and courses permit.
Big Embarrassed Oops
Perhaps you know the saying "The shoemakers children have no shoes". Well, the same goes for web designers.
Several months ago, I created CCV4, the theme you are currently viewing, for my blog. I do all my development in Firefox first, that way I can make sure that the site looks good in browsers that conform to standards.
Then I load up IE and start hacking away at the code to allow IE to display it correctly. A frustrating and time consuming task.
In the case of CCV4, haste caused me to skip this step.
Today, for fun, I tried viewing cognitivecombine.com through IE6 and to my shock and horror, realised that it was not being displayed correctly at all!
This is quite embarrassing. I have implemented a few quick hacks in the CSS styling to make the site look somewhat acceptable in IE6 and will try to fix any outstanding issues on the weekend.
iPhone theme: Royal Deluxe
My first theme for the iPhone, called Royal Deluxe. I attempted to make it very minimalist and easy on the eyes.

Instructions:
1. Unzip
2. Copy it to /Library/Themes/ on your iPhone (you will only be able to see this folder if you use an FTP client that truly support SFTP such as Cyberduck)
3. Launch WinterBoard
4. Select Royal Deluxe
5. Restart your SpringBoard
6. Enjoy

Based on the previous poll, the yellow theme did not jive too well with readers. I have toned it down and gone for colours that I hope will be acceptable and aesthetic to most. Please let me know what you think of this new theme.

I heard you
A couple days ago I started a poll asking whether readers liked the yellow theme I had created. While not many have voted, at the time of posting only 6 votes, it seems most are of the opinion that the theme is too yellow. Several members of the WordPress support forum mentioned this too.
So, I am now working on a new variation of CCV3, I shall post screenshots soon and I hope to make it easier on the eyes.
