Blog/Comment Spamming – Our Own Fault?
Spam and unwanted advertising is an issue we all have to deal with. But perhaps the amount of spam that is sent out, is a result of our internet usage habits?
CognitiveCombine now mobile friendly!
Just a quick heads up, CognitiveCombine is now mobile friendly and should display quite nicely when viewed from a smartphone or any other mobile device
If you are using WordPress, making your blog mobile-device-friendly is very easy. All you have to do is install a plugin called MobilePress. This will generate a slim version of your blog optimised for smartphones and mobile devices. You can also create your own themes if you wish to. Check it out.

CognitiveCombine Theme Update
The theme update that you may have noticed is not quite finished. In fact the design still has some layout issues, such as the sidebar jumping below the main entry, when you view a single blog post.
In the coming days I will clean up the code and fix errors.
I would however be interested in what others think of the layout changes. So here is a poll.
p.s. these sidebar updates are not what I meant when I said several weeks ago that I was working on a major new theme for CognitiveCombine, that is still in the works
WordPress Tips and Tricks
Make Tech Easier has a nice piece on several tips and tricks for speeding up a WordPress blog and streamlining it.

Some of the tips are especially useful if you have few contributers, while other really only matter if your blog is massive.
Overall however there is some sound advice there.
CognitiveCombine Site Update
It has been a quiet couple days. I'm quite busy with work, exams and my own freelance web-design.
Today however, I took the time to update CognitiveCombine and add some user friendly layout changes.
On the right side, you will notice the new location of the sidebar, holding the tags area.
I have also added recent comments, to help readers find relevant comments.
